Reading Connection
Reading Connection (BEGINNING EDITION) is written for parents of students who are learning to read and mastering reading skills (Grades K-2). The articles offer easy tips and activities that parents can immediately use to build their children’s reading proficiency. Some of the language arts areas covered are vocabulary development, comprehension skills, reading strategies, work-attack skills, spelling, phonics and phonemic awareness.
INTERMEDIATE EDITION is written for the parents of upper elementary and middle school students (Grades 3-6) who must read successfully to learn successfully. Each issue is filled with ideas, motivation, and tips to help parents support the curriculum. Monthly issues include tips and activities for parents to help build their child’s reading comprehension, motivate, build fluency, improve writing, vocabulary and spelling, literature ideas, word-attack skills, test-taking strategies and content-area reading tactics.
