TEXTBOOK-The World

Student Responsibilities

-Reading and Writing: Textbook Chapters #1-5#9-15,[Chapters #6, 8 data is taught in Grade 7 & Chapter #7 data was taught in Grade 5.]
-Reading primary and secondary resources as assigned
-Historical Vocabulary Building
-Map, Chart and Graph Skills
-Lecture Notes and Video Questionnaire/Student Notes
-Assessment Resources: Chapter Exams and Alternative Assessments
-Connections with Literature and Interdisciplinary Data
-Special In-Class Projects

1. All assignments are given on a written monthly assigment sheet as well as posted on the side chalk board with a “DUE DATE.” It is the responsibility of the student to keep a copy of all assignments into his/her binder.

2. Students are to use blue or black pens for all assignments including exams. Failing exams will be sent home for parental review and signature and returned to school the next day.


3. Students are advised to retain all notes and skills data for the entire year. At the completion of the marking period, the data from that particular marking period may be removed from the three-ring binder and stored at home.
