Letter Grade
A *Thoroughly researches and addresses all aspects of the topic.
*Speaks clearly and is knowledgeable of the topic; has little reliance on note cards.
*Incorporates relevant outside information. (e.g. topic:
Civil War Generals: Robert E. Lee: post-Civil War life.
*Richly supports oral presentation with relevant facts, details and four or more visual aids.
*Displays well-developed visual aids which consistently demonstrates a logical and clear plan of organization.
*Uses information from the research in his/her own words; did not copy or plagiarize.
*Includes a strong introduction and conclusion to the oral
presentation.


B
*Addresses most aspects of the topic.
*Speaks clearly with limited knowledge of the topic; uses note cards for more than dates and names.
*Incorporates relevant outside material.
*Uses relevant facts, details and three visual aids.
*Displays a satisfactory visual aids, demonstrating a general plan of organization.
*Includes a good introduction and conclusion.


C *Attempts to address some aspects of the topic.
*Relies heavily on note cards.
*Uses no relevant outside information.
*Presents limited facts, details and two visual aids.
*Displays a poorly organized visual aids.
*Has vague or missing introduction and /or conclusion.


D *Shows limited understanding of the topic.
*Reads the information directly from note cards.
*Uses no relevant outside information.
*Attempts to complete the topic but demonstrates major weaknesses in organization.
*Uses little or no accurate facts, details and uses one
visual aids.
*Displays a poorly organized visual aids.
*Has vague or missing introduction and /or conclusion.

F *Fails to address the topic.
*No visual aids.
