Rocks

There are three types of rocks:

1. Igneous-form when melted rock hardens

Examples: pumice, obsidian, granite

2. Sedimentary-form when sediments are compressed and hardened

Examples: siltstone, conglomerate, limestone

3. Metamorphic-form when other rocks are changed by heat and pressure

Examples: schist, gneiss, slate
