Energy

Energy - The ability to cause change in matter

Electromagnet - Iron bar with a coil wrapped around it that becomes a magnet when electric current flows through it

Electric charge - The result of a gain or loss of electrons

Electric force - The attraction or repulsion of electric charges

Kinetic energy - Energy of motion

Potential energy - The energy and object has because of its location or condition

Electric current - Flow of electrons

Conductor - Material that allows electrons to flow easily

Electric circuit - Path along which electrons flow

Insulator - Material that doesn't carry electrons

Resistor - Material that slows the flow electrons

Lens - A piece of clear material that bends light rays

Refraction - Bending of light rays

Reflection - Light bouncing off and object

Volume - Loudness of a sound

Pitch - Speed with which sound waves move

You will be asked to:

• Draw a series circuit
• Draw a parallel circuit

• Draw the inside of the eye
• Draw the inside of the ear
