Answers might include: An ethnic restaurant that includes more traditional American food on its menu.

2. In what ways is your community like a cultural kaleidoscope? In your answer, identify and briefly discuss two different cultural influences in your community.

Answers should include references to: Two cultural influences, such as ethnic music and ethnic restaurants.

3. What are two ways in which Canada's indigenous peoples are preserving their cultures?

Answers should include references to: New laws that allow native peoples to use their own languages in their schools. Also the Inuits, who were fearful of losing their cultural indentity, are moving to a new homeland in the Northwest Territory.

4. Explain a similarity and a difference in the ways different ethnic groups live in the United States and Canada.

Answers should include references to the following: Immigrants came to both countries in search of better lives.

Differences: In the United States, members of different ethnic groups may disagree, but they do not talk about forming separate states. However, many French Canadians of Quebec want to form a separate country.
