Reading Program Posters and Projects

For each major book that we complete in class
each student must do a poster and a project.

1. The poster should include the following information:

a. The title of the book

b. The author's name

The poster should NOT be based on the front cover of the book.

2. All students must do one project to accompany a finished book.

A written book report must be done for at least one book. This does not have to be the first book you read. (See: Book Report Form)

Other books could feature projects from the following list:

  • Written book report
  • Oral book report with props
  • Creative book report (story tower, foldouts, kite, can of items)
  • A radio, television or print advertisement
  • Short story based on the book or the characters in the book
  • Drawing based on the book: not the cover
  • New book jacket
