Oak Grove Road

Oak Grove is the name of a road. Oak Grove has had a lot of things happen there. Oak Grove use to be a saw mill, grist mill, a blacksmith shop and three dwellings. In 1956 Josiah built and operated a steam grist mill until 1885. Developers called the mill house the Mansion Hotel. They called the barn the Hotel Stables. The creamery and both mill buildings are still there. Sites for a factory, two schools and a Catholic Church were put on a map.

The maps were sold to individuals that lived in the city, so they could get to the Mansion Hotel. I think Oak Grove is the most historic place I know. I like Oak Grove because I live on Oak Grove Road.

I picked Oak Grove because I thought it would be interesting to learn about my road. I think Oak Grove Road is a nice place to live on. I especially think it might have been nice to look at the saw mill and grist mill.
