Describe who you think was the most important person over the past 1000 years.

I think Martin Luther King Jr. was the most important person over the past 1000 years. He was a leader for the black people and stood up for them. The white people treated the black people with no respect just because of their skin color, but Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t give up. He wrote a speech about a dream and expressed his thoughts and feelings. What captured my eye was that he never gave up and that is why I think Martin Luther King Jr. was the most important person over the past 1000 years.

In the past thousand years there had been many important people. One who I think was the most important is Christopher Columbus. This man was the man who found America. If it wasn’t for him none of us would be here in America and we would of all had to come from different parts of the world. He set sail for America on August 2, 1492 with the permission of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Without this explorer the North American continent wouldn’t be a great place as it is now.

To make the world a better place I would invent a machine that would pick up trash, so there wouldn’t be any pollution. The name of my machine would be called,”Mill” because it’s close to the millennium. It would also plant flowers, sort and recycle so people wouldn’t have to do it. Also, it would also run errands for you. I think this invention would be good use for the millennium.

Entering a new millennium it means that you already have lived one year more, it also can mean you want to make this millennium better then the last thousand years. My hopes for the future are going to college and to help people who are homeless.

What it means to me to be entering the new Millennium is having a thousand years starting again. Another thing is one more year of life. My hopes for the future are to accomplish college. I hope nothing happens to me this year, so I could see the year 2,000.

An important event was the earthquake that happened in San Francisco in the year 1906. It was the second biggest earthquake in the world. It was very destructive many people died and were injured from it. Also many buildings and bridges were torn apart. It was so destructive almost half of San Francisco was destroyed, although parts managed to stay in good shape. About 100,000 people died in this dangerous earthquake. San Francisco lost $350,000,000 worth of property.

My plans for New Years Eve will be to have a party with all my family getting together celebrate the new year. My plans for New Years Day are for us to go to a special place were we can have a great time. This special place might be a park.

The way I plan to celebrate New Years Eve is by joining my family in the celebration. We will have a party at my house until the New Year. Then I plan to have my friends join me in the garage for kids only. When it is New Years day my family and friends plan to shoot fireworks in to the air.

New Years Day is a day made for fun with your family and friends. On New Years Day my family and I will go out and light fireworks. Then I am going to my grandma’s house because my grandma has a party at her house.

For New Years Day my family and I are going to get together by having a barbecue. After having the barbecue my family and I are going to celebrate my parents anniversary. Also at the same time we are going to celebrate my little brother’s birthday. For the rest of the night, my family and I are going to see the fireworks.

To make this world a better place and beautiful I will try to find another place to dump trash. The worst places to throw trash are in the ocean because fishes on the ocean die because they get stuck with soda rappers and. I hope to try to help find another place to dump trash because we are running out of places to throw our trash. We shouldn’t throw our trash anywhere because then the land won’t be clean. It will make the world beautiful if we keep it clean.

I think trees would make the world a beautiful and better place. Trees make the world look beautiful and they give us clean air to breathe. That air is helping us fight pollution. Without trees our planet would be ugly and lack oxygen. Trees are more important then you think. I know trees could make the world look beautiful because trees look nice and pretty. I hope in the next millennium people understand why trees are so important to our planet.

I think George Washington was the most important person. I think George Washington because he decided what to do in life. George Washington is very important because you see him on our dollar bill. George Washington is the one who commanded others to protect America when there was a war or a battle. He was also the first president.

The world would be better without people throwing trash on the streets or on the floor. For the next millennium, the people could help if they just threw there trash where it belongs. All living things in the world would benefit if everyone would pitch in to help. If it’s big thing and doesn’t fit on the trash you should find a dumpster big enough for the trash. People should also recycle things, so that they could make new things out of them. Thank you for listening of my ideas.

Entering the millennium means a new life to me. It also means more technology. My hopes are to learn more technology. My other hopes are to go to college. My third hope is to get good grades in college. My last hope is to be somebody.

I’m hoping that my grandma and grandpa and other relatives will come to visit us to celebrate New Years Day and New Years Eve. We’re going to make lots of tamales and cocoa. Then we’re going to dance a lot. At last we’re going to drink wine to celebrate and count until the millennium comes.

One of the most exciting events in the last 1,000 years was the war against England this war was fought for our freedom in this war thousands of people died for us the war ended in 1776. In 1976, we celebrated 200 years of freedom.

One of the things that happened in the last 1000 years was the invention of the automobile. In 1769 Nicholas Cognate of the French army invented the steam car that pulled cannons. In 1801 the first car that carried passengers was invented by Richard Trevithick an English invention. This car ran by illuminations gas. The first gasoline engine was developed in 1885 in Germany. Henry Ford was the leading manufacturer of American cars. Today there are more than 340 million cars in the world. I think that cars are important as a means of transportation.

I think Albert Einstein was the most important person. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was earning his doctorate and working in the Swiss patent office when he formulated his theory of relativity. This theory, together with his later work on relativity, revolutionized science, introducing new concepts of space, time, and gravity, and preparing the way for an understanding of unclear physics.

I think Thomas Jefferson was the most important person over the past 1000 years. Jefferson was born on April 3, 1743 and died July 4, 1826. Jefferson was best known for a great president and the author of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States. The picture of Thomas Jefferson signing the Declaration of Independence is on the two dollar bill. Another reason I think Thomas Jefferson is so important is because our school was named after him.

Entering a new millennium means to me a whole new life and better hopes. Another thing that entering a new millennium means to me is another, better chance for me to get good grades at school. My hopes for the future are to have a good job and a good family.

Basketball was invented in the United States in 1891. By the mid-1900 it became popular indoor sport. Basketball requires team work, quick reactions, and endurance. Tall players have advantage because they are taller and could reach closer to the basket and could get the rebounds.

An automobile is something I think is important. An automobile was discovered in 1860. The man who had first made the engine was a French inventor. His name was Jean Joseph. An automobile is so important now because people need fast transportation to get to their jobs. Automobiles are also useful for taking big things like beds, furniture, and many other things.
