The New Millennium

Things would be better in the next millennium if people found a way to restore the jungles and oceans to how they are supposed to be. Things would be better if people did not cut down the trees and cause air and water pollution. If people would learn how to compact a garbage dump and turn it into a ball about the size of a quarter. People should not make as much garbage in the next millennium because if we don’t make garbage the earth will be more beautiful.
In the future if you took one pill the size of a period (.) it would heal any kind of sickness or wound instantly. If that could happen the world would be a healthier place. In the next millennium maybe we could fly very very far into space and back without eating, drinking or breathing. Then we could travel to other planets. We might find out if there was alien life and if the aliens could teach us things then we could go back to earth with new knowledge. Maybe we could put something like a computer disk into our head that would let us memorize anything without even thinking about it.

The world would be a better if there were no wars and all people and all nations would live in peace.

in the next millennium. Describe and explain your idea.

CONSERVATION

I think we should conserve more things like animals, the rain forests the oceans and the air. We push animals out of their homes and destroy their habitats. Some species become extinct! People cut down and burn the rain forests for more farmland. This leaves us with dirtier air and the plants and animals with no homes. We even pollute the oceans with our wastes and oil spills. The Ozone layer is dissolving because of chemicals released into the air by humans. People need to think about things other than themselves.

If people were more aware of what they are doing they’d make it a better place.

John Glenn

I think that John Glenn was the most important person over the last 1,000 years. John Glenn was a war hero, a test pilot, a multiple-record breaker, and astronaut, and even a candidate for the President of the United States! He was the first man in space, so now we can explore space and enjoy all of the benefits of space travel. John Glenn is 78 years old and in great shape. John's 2 flights to space made history. John Glenn is a very important part of our history and present.

Entering A New Millennium

Entering a new millennium means that lots of things will change. My hopes for the future are that Bill Clinton gets out of the office and a new present will take over. Then everybody can ride a plane to school to get there faster.

The New Year

I think we could improve the earth by everyone recycling. I think it is good that we recycle, but I think we need to recycle more. We need to preserve farmland to provide food in the future. We need to help people with homes and health. We can all help people within the New Year

2000

Entering a new millennium means to me kind of the same because 1998 goes to 1999 and so on. I want things to change in some ways like I would like crime to stop would like for people to stop using drugs and alcohol. I hope people continue to take care of our environment so that the world is a nice clean place to live in.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

The person I think made a big change in the last one thousand years is Martin Luther King, Jr. He united black and white people together. Hundreds of year ago black people where slaves, so Martin saved it by giving a speech and giving peace on earth, and uniting black and white people , and still there is peace on earth and happiness all around the world!

Thomas Edison

I think Thomas Edison was the most important person over the last 1,000 years because he was an inventor. If Mr. Edison wasn't born our world would be different because we wouldn’t have light bulbs, recorded music, or any movies.

2000

My report is on medical miracles. One medical miracle I wanted to write about is transplant surgery. My pop pop would of died if he did not have a transplant operation. My pop pop got a new liver. After his miracle of modern medicine took over. There are also many other transplants done on the heart, lungs and many other parts of the body.

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is one of the greatest men in the past millennium. He was born in Germany and then he moved to the United States to be an American physicist. In 1903 he married Maliva Maric. He made the atom bomb to win against Japan and Germany. We would be ruled by Adolf Hitler if he not

This New Year

This New Year my family from Chicago and Indiana are traveling by car and air plane to New Jersey so that we can be together. We will dress up for party as a person we most admire. I am going to dress up as my Godfather, Uncle John. My Aunt Cathy is so excited about this party that she has been talking about it for two years. I’ll be very happy for the 2000.

New Millennium

I think Christmas lights and no littering would make the world more beautiful because littering does not look good. Christmas lights along the road as fences would look nice. The Christmas lights would stay up all year long. They would remind me of Christmas. To keep people from littering, I would suggest building under ground cables so that every time you litter, you would get zapped. You would also be the one to repair the light bulbs as a punishment.

Our Family’s New Year Fun

The next year after 1999 is the year 2,000! On New Year’s Day my family and I and our four grandparents are going to have a feast. We’ll have ham and other foods. Every year we watch family movies before we go to our friend’s house. We’ve been friends with the Shannahans for 16 years. We’ll have a party with the Shannahans. New Year’s Eve is so much fun!

New Years

On New Years Eve I am going to a First Night Celebration in Flemington, New Jersey. If it is a very clear night I may go to Thatcher’s Hill to watch the fireworks in New York City or, I might just stay home and watch the ball drop and eat as much junk as I can eat. The next day my aunt Tara will visit from Washington, D.C. and we will have a second Christmas.

Entering A New Millennium

Going into a new millennium means a lot to me. I think that this millennium was great for as long as I was alive. I think in the next millennium, it will be very, very great and very awesome because in the next millennium, I think we will have things beyond our imaginations. Entering a new millennium means that at 12 o’clock A.M. on New Year’s Eve it’s not only a new day, a new month, a new decade, a new century, but it’s a new....millennium!

And in the new millennium, I hope there will be peace throughout the universe!

Andrew

A More Beautiful Millennium

What I think would make this millennium better is if we would stop polluting the air, and go back to riding horses. I also think if people stopped smoking, that would also stop air pollution. If we could establish peace and make everyone’s life a living heaven, that would also help to be a better millennium. I also think we should all be Y2K compliant.

The Millennium

Entering a new millennium means a big change for me. Some of my hopes for the future are world peace, no more wars, and no more killing. The millennium is a big event that I am looking forward to. Just think a whole new millennium at the stroke of midnight on December 31,1999. I can’t wait! It will start after Christmas vacation. Lots of computers will crash in the new millennium too. Lots of businesses need to be Y2K ready. The new millennium isn’t all fun and games. It is serious too.

The Millennium To Me

The Millennium means a lot to me. I think this is a once in a lifetime or three lifetimes chance, and I will be able to tell my grandchildren about it. My hopes for the Millennium are there will be no war and more peace. I also hope no person or animal will live on the street!

This New Year’s Eve, I will have a lot of my friends over. We will play games, drink sparkling cider, and I will get a chef to make appetizers. I have a disco ball and we will dance. Close to midnight I will turn on the T.V and we will watch the ball drop. At the stroke of midnight we will yell “Happy New Year!,”blow horns, and throw confetti

The New Millennium

There will be many new exciting inventions for the new millennium. One invention is going to hopefully help with water pollution. Many boats will have this device as part of the motor. I think this is important because it will make the world a better place. It is a good invention but, I would also invent a clear tube that would attach to the exhaust to help with the pollution. The tube would go along the inside of the motor and come out of the wing. Exhaust would form to water because of the cells that would make it form water. So then you would not pollute as much as you did before. Another way not to pollute is to get the right lubricant oil so it won’t pollute. The most reliable engines are Mercury and Johnson, Mainer, Yamaha, and Evinrude because their built tough and don’t pollute.

The Most Important Person

Over the Last 1000 Years I think the most important person over the past 1000 years was Beethoven because I like music and I think that a lot of his songs were great. How Beethoven wrote his masterpieces I will probably never know because he was deaf. Beethoven was very precise about the way his songs were played. I think that he changed the music world around forever.

The Year 2000

I think the future will be exciting because new stuff will happen. I think they will make cars kids can drive that fly. The cars could get them to Florida in 1 hour and California in 2 hours. They will make new boats that go really fast. And new safer buildings. I hope the future will be safer and more peaceful. There will be no wars. I also hope the world will be peaceful There will be no more pollution. And there would be safer ways to drive. That there will be new discoveries. I also hope that this millennium will be as good as the last.

Aaron

Describe what you think was the most important event

Over The Thousand Years!

Over the thousand years we have had presidents, holidays, and more, but now it is almost the year 2,000! A big year! People have said the earth would end by the year 2,000, but it won’t! Some very important events ( that are important to me) over the years are freedom of the slaves, dogs being trained and able to live with us, allowed to go in to space and rulers who give us all good laws. We have developed our country. Now think of a very valuable time in over the thousand years. If you are 9 or 10 the earth is 2,000 years old! We are much younger than the earth. We should tell our children and their children about how much the earth has changed. Party all night long, just hope the power does not go..out!

My Plans

This New Year’s Eve I plan to have a couple of friends over! Each of my family members will have a friend over too. We will play Millenniumopoly which is a Millennium version of Monopoly. We will have party blowers and hats. We will have cakes and other foods! We will play a lot of games and watch the ball drop!

Morgan Anne

Describe who you think was the most important person
over the past 1000 years.

New Millennium

I think the most important event that happened over the last 1,000 years is when Martin Luther King, Jr. made black people equal with white people. I think this is important because black people weren’t treated fairly.

I think what would make the new millennium better is if we could drive flying spaceships. The flying ship would have automatic cockpit opening. It could fit 5 people and could go up to 250 mph. I want this because it’s more fun than a car and you can get places faster.

Colin

Describe who you think was the most important person

The New Millennium

I think Thomas Edison was the most important person in the first Millennium. If Thomas Edison didn’t invent the light bulb then we would be sitting here in the dark. If you like T.V., well you should thank him. Why? You don’t know that he invented the motion camera! I do. When you talk on the phone you should thank him for that too because he invented that too. Thomas Edison locked himself up in his experiment room and tried a lot of experiments. He worked hard his entire life to make many great inventions for us that still exist!

The New Millennium and My Hopes for It

The millennium is very exciting to be part of. My hopes for it is that a robot that cleans everything is invented. Also I want to go to farther places, but Ally, my sister, is too small to go on the rides at Disney World. Well, I hope Ally gets bigger so we can see the way other places have changed. The main vacation that my family goes on is to Pennsylvania, where my Grandparents live. There is a small community with a lake. I like when Tina, my friend, comes. The farthest I went on vacation was Wisconsin. I went to see my Aunt Mary Beth and my Uncle Mike. One more impossible wish, money growing on trees.
