I started to swim when I was 3. (Of course my mom says I learned when I was 6, but that's a different story)I learned to swim when I was I taught myself to swim the first summer I ever went to the beach in Cape Cod. First the doggy paddle, then freestyle, then breast stroke then backstroke. I loved all strokes, except for butterfly, which I still don't like.
When I turned 8, I was always the best swimmer in my swimming classes. I glided past everybody with ease. So they put me with the 10 and 12 year olds, but it was still too easy.
The year I turned 9, I joined the AGUA swim team. It was fun, but much harder. There was swimming with fins, buoys, and starts.
Of course my favorite part of being on the team is the meets. The thrill of the competition, the butterflies in your stomach, I love it all. I love the practice lanes, the mental thinking, (you have to remember the rules so you don't get disqualified(DQ)) and the happiness I have when I lost seconds on my time.

My hobby is figure skating. I started skating when I was 4, I'm 10 now. Kristi Yamaguichi inspired me to skate.I like figure skating, because when I skate I feel like a bird that is able to fly where ever it wants to. From skating I learned how to focus, and how to balance my weight.I do it every week on Mondays, and Wednesdays, at Chelsea Piers. In figure skating there aren't any rules.

I started collecting baseball cards last year when I got a set of all 1988 baseball cards. I like collecting baseball cards because it is fun to see what good cards you get. I collect cards at home. I collected them a lot before but the school year started now and I don't collect them any more. Collecting cards are lots of fun and I recommend them as a hobby for anyone.

My name is Adam. My hobby is rollerblading. I like rollerblading because it helps me practice for when I play hockey. I usually rollerblade before and right after I go to school. The only reason I started to rollerblade is because I wanted to keep up my hockey in the summer, but now it has turned into sort of a hobby.

My hobby is going ice skating. I started it three years ago, when I started taking lessons. I learned that ice skating is much harder then it looks, but I am not bad. I usually go ice skating on Sundays at Chelsea Piers. All I need to skate is a skating rink and a pair of skates, which I rent, and, warm clothes. I try to go skating every Sunday,but sometimes I can't. One thing that happens when I skate is that the next day, I have sore ankles. Some skating rules are: you can't go backwards oppisite the direction that every one else is going, and you can't hurt anybody on the ice.

I like to play games. Mostly board games. I also like computer games, because their 3d, and you don't need other people to play, and you can go at your own pace. I started when I was about two years old. I played more longer, and more skillful games over the years. I like games because (1) I always win and (2) It's fun and (3) I have a good time. Mostly every game I play, I do at home , except for sports. Every day I play a game 3 or 4 times a day.

My hobby is singing. I've been singing for as long as I can remember. My mommy says that I have a natural talent. I sing everywhere, and everyday. The only bad part is that I usually get a sore throat, and then I have to drink lots of hot tea. What I love about it, is that there are no rules to singing.

My hobby is rollerblading. I started rollerblading when I was 4. My cousin had a pair of rollerblads that were too small on him and told his mom not to throw them out. The next time I was there he taught me how to rollerblade in the basement. I like it because it's fun to fall and scrape your knee. I learned that it's okay to have a little blood coming out. I usually rollerblade in the park or at the high school down the block from me in all seasons. To rollerblade you need: rollerblades, helmet, 2 knee pads, 2 elbow pads, 2 wrist guards but that's only if you're a beginner. If you're more advanced like me you only need A helmet and 2 wrist guards. In Summer and Spring I usually roller blade 3-5 times a week and in Winter and Fall usually 3 times a month because it's too cold. It's fun to rollerblade in the snow.

When I first started bike riding I was on a two wheeler (duh). Later on when I was six or seven I decided to try a two wheeler. Even when my dad was holding on to me I was terrified. When I was eight I finally was not scared anymore.
I like bike riding because I love racing down hills. In Connecticut I get to ride around with my friends and my mom. With my friends I go to the pond and the outdoor pool. With my mom I go around Lakeridge.

My hobby is Sleeping because It is easy to do and all you you need is a bed. It gives me motivation for facing fears in real life you do this because of nightmares such as missing homework, being fired from your job, and other stuff in normal life that happens .It also helps you with not getting grumpy in the morning. Plus even sometimes you get really good dreams like winning a Ferrai and 15 million dollars. My best dream so far is playing in the N.B.A. But sometimes is annoying because you might miss something really good in real life like living in Malibu, California. My hobby is biking. I first started biking when I was about three. One day at my old country house I saw my neighbor biking and I thought it looked fun. When I tried it I was surprisingly good at it but on my training wheels I leaned on one wheel and the other stuck up about two inches off the ground. This would interfere with being able to ride on a two wheeler.
Soon, I learned to ride on both training wheels and got to a two wheeler when I was six.
After that, I had to get a new bike when I was seven and when I was eight, my dad got me a device that could record your top speed, the time, the amount of mileage you went on that day, and your total amount of mileage.
About five months later I checked my total amount of mileage. One-hundred and four miles! My highest speed was 30.2 mph. (I was going downhill while pedaling.) My father saw it and was very proud of me.
I like biking because it is challenging and gives you a good physique. It also is a great mode of transportation because it saves the earth from pollution.

My hobbies are playing sports and riding my bicycle. My favorite hobby is playing sports. I used to not be good at sports but now I'm one of the best, especially in football. I started the hobby last year. What I like about the sport is that you don't get tired too much. What I learn about the sport is running fast and catching a football. I usually play football at school and either in the morning or lunch time. The consequences are that you can get badly hurt. My hobby is drawing. I like to draw because it's fun. I'm probably going to be a cartoonist so I'm staring now.
My friend Isaac taught me to draw all the airplanes and machinery and electronics. When I went to Disney World they taught me draw cartoons. I also make creative stuff that I learned from myself. I like to make space ships and cool airplanes. I usually draw during free time and sometimes my friends join me. I learned that drawing is much fun and that I can make a career with it. If you want to learn to draw just take a pencil and paper and draw!!!

I have two hobbies, stamp collecting, and coin collecting. I have been collecting stamps for 4 years. I started collecting stamps when I was at a school book fair and saw a stamp kit which included stamps, a magnifying glass and instructions on how to get stamps off envelopes. My dad got me a book to hold my stamps when I was 7. I've been collecting coins for 6 months and I've found coins from Jamaica, Canada, and other places, I keep them in a bank. I have one tip on hobbies where you collect things, have a place to put them.

I like to bike ride and work and play on the computer. I started bike riding because my mom wanted me to get exercise. She can ride her bike very well, so she and my dad taught me how. I like riding my bike because it is good exercise and it is fast. While on my bike I learned to keep balance and control.
I started working/playing on the computer because I like high-tech things and in school they taught us how to use them. I like working/playing on the computer because it is fun and there are good resources to work with. While on the computer I learned to research topics on-line and how to use them.

My name is Olga. I'm 12. I'd like to tell you about my hobby. My Hobby is piano. I visit a music-school. I must study there 7 years. I love my school. We have there many subjects: piano, chorus, accompaniment. My favorite subject is piano. My favorite teacher is too (piano). In the beginning of every term we choose three pie- ces and one etud.
After half-term I pass a little exam - I play my etud. In the end of term I pass an exam - pieces. All is very interesting. My little sister, Lena, want to enter the music-school too. But she is little in the meanswhile.

Gardening and cultivation of flowers,especially roses,is the most common hobby. Some people are interested in photography. And some of people like to take photos of friends when they don't know they are being photographed. Others are interested in video films and they record family events there. Playing a musical instrumernt, watching TV, swimming, fishing and watching birds are also popular leisure activity in Kazakhstan.
A useful hobby is collecting tape recordings. You may have recordings of operas, light music, folk music and concerts. It's impossible to describe all these 1000 hobbies known in the world. The main thing is that they increase your knowledge in some particular field and broaden your outlook.

In our class all are led away by the play with virtual bestial (Tamagou). We play with the at home and at school.
We all like to ride on the bikes and rollers. Many students go in for sport: atheletics, football, basketball, dances. Some of us visit a drama studio.
Many students like to draw at a free time. Girls draw dolls or Sailor Moon, boys draw machines, planes, motorcycles or build vany interesting things with Legos.
Almost all children collect stickers from comics and cartoons. Certainly we all like see cartoons and to listen to music. We have also pets: dog, cats, fishes or birdie. Care for them is hobby too.

My favorite hobby is BMX. I like BMX because you can go over high jumps and you can do tricks in the air. My favorite trick is a pancake. My favorite jump is a triple. BMX is very fun! I have a track at my house. The jumps I have are one double, one single, seven woops, and one berm. My bike is a Yamaha. I built and designed my track with my friend John. It is fun, but always make sure you ware a helmet!

I would get 2 mile long range walky talkies to communicate with my best friend. When he would get a computer in his room we can e-mail to each other. I would do a lot on it.
My skateboard is a maple it is new and cost a lot. I skateboard on dry hot days and like to go to skating parks too. That is what I like to do

My favorite hobby is dirt-bike racing. Mainly I like it because it's fast, fun, and dirty after races. Racing reminds me... I am no. 12. That means that I've only been to a small amount of races. I don't know why I chose # 12. I always like to make jumps. Some stunts I know are: Nic nacs, pancakes, super mans, one and no handers. Oh, I also do wheelies. (They're hard to learn, but I learned it) When I race I usually come in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 12. The more the opponents, the less the rank. Do you like to dirt-bike? I got some helpful hints.

Hi, my name is Stephen Stelz. I like to collect stuff like fossils, magazines, books, stamps, Beanie Babies, and a lot more. You could say I'm a big collector! The two things I collect the most are fossils and Beanie Babies. I have a ton of fossils and also minerals. have a neat dinosaur tooth, too. I have 20 Beanie Babies so far, but I get one every weekend. My favorite Beanie is Pinchers the Lobster.

Hi my name is Danielle Kriegl. My hobbies are baseball, dance, and baton. I always wanted to play baseball. My dad said I can hit the ball far and pitch. I also dance. Dancing is fun. You get to go on the bar. They make me do splits like left, right, and middle splits on the bar. It hurts! My last hobby I do is baton. I like baton the most. People don't always know what a baton is. A baton is a stick you pony tail loop in the air. You can spin 1 time, 2 times, 3, 4, 5, 6 spins. I can do a 3 spin. Sometimes people go up to 8 spins. I can only go up to a 3 spin. I do solos, marching and modeling in baton. I hate modeling because I feel weird. I go to competitions and win medals. I have 11 medals and 7 trophies. I'm in beginner for solo. That's the 2nd level. I'm real good in solos. I won 3 gold medals in solo. These are my hobbies!!!

I like reading because it takes me to different places. Right now I'm into Roald Dahl books. I also like classics. I read a lot. I just love reading! In my room I have a bookshelf, and it's full of books.
I like swimming because it's fun. I take swimming lessons, but prefer to just swim on my own. I go to Maine in the summer and swim out to the middle of the lake. I have some help from my noodle.

I have two hobbies. A collection hobby and an athletic hobby. My collection hobby involves collecting mini statues. I have at least 9 of them. It doesn't sound like much, but they're very expensive. My very first mini statue was a Christmas angel praying. My grandmother gave me that because I'm her angel. Then I got into collecting rough textured statues and smooth textured statues.
My athletic hobbies are basketball and tennis. I learned basketball mainly from my sister (Paige) and my brother (Matt). I take many tennis lessons. I'm allowed to go to a higher level and I am going to. I'll probably be the next to fill "The Hargrove Trophy Case".

Hello my name is Steve I have many hobbies but my favorite hobby is bicycling. I got my first bike when I was two years old and have had many bikes since then. The only problem is that I live on a hill and if I want to ride my bike on the road it's a pain to get up my driveway. Every day it gets easier and easier to ride the driveway so I can go on more bike rides.

My hobby is dirt bikes. I race almost every weekend. I have a KX 80cc Kawasaki. It's really fun riding dirt bikes. My whole family has a dirt bike or a motorcycle except for my dogs. You have to wear special gear that is very expensive. Sometimes if you crash it hurts. I can do a lot of tricks on a dirt bike. Dirt bikes cost about $3,000 for a brand new one. For a used it's about $1,000. I have two sponsors. I have a 16 foot and 10 feet high trailer. Dirt bikes are really fun to ride!!!!!
