1. How are migration and hibernation alike? How are they different?
Migration and hibernation are alike because they are both animal adaptations. They are different because in hibernation the body temperature of an animal chages so it can survive, and in migration the animal moves to a different climate in order to survive.

2. Why might an animal not survive if it is moved out of its natural environment? Explain.

Animals develop adaptations for a specific environment. If it is moved to a different environment it might not survive unless its needs can be met. For example a kangaroo rat that lives in the desert won’t survive in the rainforest.

3. How is metamorphosis different from the development of baby mammals?

Mammals are born looking like their parents. Metamorphosis involves stages of change (like a butterfly).
