My New Holiday
If I could invent my own holiday I would call it “Free Allowance Day”. On that day kids would get allowance without doing any work. The colors would be green and white and you could decorate with fake money. You would celebrate by going to the mall and having a good time.

it ‘The ‘Terrible Day’ because there was a disaster in New York.I

If I could invent a holiday, I would call it “Glory
Day.” It would be about remembering your glory days. Glory days are days
from the past, when you were at your personal best. I would decorate with bright
, rainbow colors. I would celebrate by spending time with family and friends,
watching home videos. It would be similar to my favorite holiday, Christmas,
because I would be spending time with family and friends, just not exchanging
gifts.

International Dessert Day
I would declare August 3rd as International Dessert Day. On this day, everyone across the world would bake and eat their favorite desserts all day long. I would make this a day where people could forget all of their problems and just be happy eating desserts.
I would choose bright and happy colors like purple, orange, apple green, yellow,
and blue. I would use decorations like streamers, confetti and balloons with
the same colors.
People would celebrate by closing all offices and places of business to be home
with their family eating their favorite desserts.
On International Dessert Day, I would have chocolate cake for breakfast, strawberry
shortcake for lunch, and blueberry pie for dinner. After dinner, I would have
an ice cream sandwich for dessert. All day long, I would drink chocolate milkshakes.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, and International Dessert Day is similar because
you can eat all day, have fun, and be with your family. The only difference
is no snow, cold weather, or presents. It is people just having fun.

Switching Day
If I could make a holiday I would make Switching
Day. Switching Day is when the teachers become the students and the students
become the teachers. Or the children go to work with their moms and dads. Not
to go to see his/her work, but to work with their mother or father! I would
invent this day because I don’t get to see my father very much.

If I could make a special holiday it would be called
Giving. This holiday is when family, friends, and neighbors get together and
share gifts with each other. The significance of this holiday is that you get
together with friends, family, and neighbors, and then after dinner you play
games that interest everyone. Games like pictionary, basketball, manhunt, soccer,
etc. The colors that you would see are bright colors, like rainbow colors that
you would see during the day. This holiday would be on May 15. My favorite holiday
is really Christmas. The difference between these two holidays is you get together
with your family on Christmas but on this holiday you get together with most
of the people you know.

USA HERO DAY
Hero Day celebrates all the volunteers, policeman
and fireman who risked or gave their lives when four planes crashed into the
United States at the hands of terrorists.
The decorations are flags and stars and the colors
are red, white and blue. This day will be celebrated on September 11th. This
holiday compares to my favorite holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah, because we
remember brave people and events in history that celebrate freedom.

Walking In My Shoes Day
My Walking In My Shoes Day, is the day you would
switch places with your parents. There would be no colors or decorations, you
would celebrate by doing what your parents do every day, and your parents would
do what you do. To celebrate you would start by making your parents breakfast
and all the other things your parents do to you throughout the whole day. You
wouldn’t get presents like Christmas but if you’re lucky they might
let you drive the car. We would celebrate this day on April 19th.

My new holiday is called Hoca. It is a Hawaiian
holiday. They celebrate it because it is there god’s birthday. It is when
all the Hawaiian people gather around the campfire and sing “America.”
It is a very noisy and busy day on Hoca day.

If I could make my own holiday I would make Children's Day because almost every day we have to go to school, and we have to do chores. The colors for Children's Day would be red, yellow, green, and blue. The decorations for Children's Day are lots of streamers, balloons and signs that say Happy Children's Day.
How you would celebrate Children's Day would be 1 all kids have no chores and
no school. 2 every child gets a big cake and presents. Like my favorite holiday
my birthday you get cake and presents. Unlike my favorite holiday you get no
school and no chores.

My holiday is Trading Places Day. The colors black
and white because they show a big difference. It always falls on the first Monday
in November so teachers can also celebrate.

The holiday is ‘Fishing Day’. You get $10 for every fish you catch. The Government pays for it. You celebrate by catching and eating fish. Everything is closed. You can fish in a lake, a pond, or an ocean. I compare my holiday with Christmas. You get money and spend time with your family.

A Girl’s day will be a day when where the
girls would have no school. The boys would have to do all are work and homework
while the girls go shopping and pig out! The colors would be blue, lime green,
purple, yellow, gold, silver and orange. I picked these colors because they

I think Girls Day would be more fun because on Halloween you can’t do all

Hi my name is Kaitlyn. My new holiday is called
Helping Hands. It is always celebrated on August 28th. The reason I made it
a holiday is because everyone and everyone and anyone helps, no matter what
religion. The colors would be blue, white, red, orange, and yellow. I did these
colors because they stand for things that you'd see at hospitals or the army.
The decorations look like two hands one black and one white inside a circle.
To celebrate “Helping Hands” all schools and businesses are closed,
and you must do at least one thing for the needy. Like build a house, or cook
food and things.
So that’s why I chose to make it. I think it has more meaning than Christmas.

My holiday is Baseball Day. On Baseball day everyone
plays baseball, including the teachers and parents. The colors are green, blue,
and cameo. I chose the colors because there my favorite colors. It would be
celebrated on July 9th. I picked the date because it’s on my birthday!
I picked the sport because it’s my favorite sport. I’ve played it
since I was 5 years old It was my favorite sport since I was 4 years old.

Fun Day
If I invented a holiday it would be on February
20 to February 28. It would be called Fun Day. The colors would be rainbow because
that would have everybody's favorite color. There would be decorations everywhere
with pictures of toys and ice cream.There would be green and purple polka dots
and yellow and blue zig zags. Everyone would get to the end of February and
kids would rule the world but just to the end of February but adults would still
have fun to because the kids would not be mean to them its just adults could
not tell them to clean their rooms and do chores.

A New National Holiday
My name is Grayson. My friend and I made up a new
holiday about a month ago called “Big Cookie Holiday” It happens when
your giant cookie is real good,and it is a chocolate chip cookie. It is a cookie
holiday. It happened a few days ago. My friend and I think that on those days
everyone should get a free sample of the cookie. It’s almost like Christmas
because you are getting something from someone,except it’s coming at lunch
time in school. We think it’s a pretty good holiday made up by two kids.
Other kids might think it’s an ok holiday too! This holiday does not have
a specific day to celebrate it on , so that could be good if you feel like you
must have a giant cookie.

My new national holiday would be Switch Day. It
is when the kids and parents trade places. The kids would go to work and the
parents would go to school. Switch Day would be in January. If some adults don’t
have children, then they would switch families that have two children. The colors
for that day would be blue and purple because they are my favorite colors. Children
would go to work and even attend meetings. The parents would go to school and
do all after school activities. My present favorite holiday is Christmas. These
two holidays are very different. On Switch day, the parents will see how their
children spend a day and the children would find what their parents do all day.
Both would find it is very interesting.

The holiday that I would invent would be a winter
holiday. It would be called Snow Day. It would be celebrated on Dec. 22nd. How
you would celebrate it would be to have fun and play in the snow. The decorations
would include a snowman and fluffy stuff. The colors would be white,blue, and
purple because it reminds me of winter. This is like my other favorite holiday
Christmas because they are both in December and this holiday is fun like Christmas!

If I could make my own holiday, its name would
be National Holiday Day. It would be every holiday in the United States combined.
It would be on the last day of the year. It would start 12:00 a.m. and end at
11:59 p.m. The colors would be green and blue because they are my favorite colors.
The decorations would be streamers, balloons, party poppers, and pinatas. If
I compare it with Christmas, Christmas would win because it is nice to think
of an imaginary holiday, but it’s better to have a real one.

Moist Cookie Day
My holiday is Moist Cookie Day. I like my holiday
a lot because you get the most moist cookies you’ll ever taste in your
life for 75 cents. I wish Otis Spunkmeyer , the famous cookie maker, was my
grandmother! I wish she was my grandma so I could get a lot of cookies for free!
My advertisement would be a billboard full of those moist cookies. I would celebrate
by having 20 of her cookies. I compared it with my birthday and my birthday
won because it’s nice to have a made up holiday, but it is nicer to have
a real one.

My national holiday is Snow Day. Every time it snows we have Snow Day. On Snow Day we have no school. If you have no school on Snow Day, it gets moved to the next day. The colors are white, gray, and blue.
If there is five feet of snow you don’t have school for the rest of the
week. If there is seven feet of snow you don’t have school for a month.
Snow Day should be a national holiday because kids get more days of of school.
Teachers also get a break from teaching students.
Snow Day is better than Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, St. Patrick's
Day, and Valentines Day because you could have no school on one of those holiday.

COMMUNITY SPORTS DAY
My holiday is community sports day. It’s about
staying home playing sports all day. The date of my holiday is May 23rd, which
happens to be my birthday. The sports that we will play are rugby, baseball,
basketball, soccer, football, hockey, lacrosse, softball, fumble rumble, and
any other team sport.
At 8:00 AM everybody will meet at their school.
We would have a light breakfast of fruit and other energizing food to fuel us
up for the day’s sporting events. Then you would play sports. The colors
would red , white, and blue to symbolize are freedom in America.
After lunch you would have a water gun fight to
cool us down. We would rest for a short time and then begin our sporting events
again. It will be a great day! Sports day will be just as great as Christmas.
We would be with family and friends for the whole day having lots of fun.
The importance of this holiday is to bring the whole community for a great time,
and to celebrate the great community we live in. At the end of sports day there
will be fireworks. When the fire works explode they will shower down basket
balls, foot balls baseballs, soccer balls and hockey pucks.
For dinner everybody will be invited to Richard
Dilley’s house and it will be great. Everybody can stay up as late as they
want to play board games to finish the day of fun. The next day at 8:30 am everybody
will be invited to Franklin Township school to let off red, white, and blue
balloons. School starts at 9:00 AM.

Pants Party Day
I think there should be a holiday called Pants
Party Day. It would be on June 9th. You would wear your favorite pair of pants
and listen to the song “Pants Rock Opera” by the ska band Five Iron
Frenzy. Then you’d dance. For decorations you would make paper pants and
shorts and hang them on your walls and porch. They would be purple, green, black,
and white pants.
Pants Party Day is different from Groundhog Day (my favorite holiday) because
Groundhog Day is not a holiday that you really celebrate. Even though my birthday
is on Groundhog Day it is not a big holiday. It’s one that everyone not
born on it might forget.

Soccer Day
Soccer Day is my new national holiday. It has become
a popular sport in the U.S.A. So many parents and kids participate in soccer.
I would use soccer flags and black and white balloons to decorate. To celebrate
we would all play a soccer game. Either we would play in a back yard or at a
local soccer field. I enjoy soccer as much as I enjoy getting presents at Christmas.

Spring Holiday
This national holiday is Spring Holiday. The significance
of this holiday is that new animals are born. New life is brought to this Earth.
A lot of people are born on April. Since my birthday is on April 17th that would
be the day the holiday would be on. The colors you would see on the holiday
would be green , orange, yellow , pink, and blue. I pick these colors because
they are spring colors and my holiday is in spring. Decorations would include
flowers , grass , and leaves and lots more. Everybody would go on a picnic and
they will plant a flower or a tree. I would compare this holiday with Christmas
because that was the day when animals and people were born too!
